Career Inspire

The Career Inspire event was overall a good experience. There were plenty of hands-on activities, learning experiences, and I got to see some fields that I had an interest in. I was able to ask questions about carpentry, which interests me, and really got to see if I enjoyed what it had to offer. The event was held October 26, 2021 at the Alliant Powerhouse. Many schools attended the event, filling up the whole arena floor. There were many activities for kids to participate in, and for the kids to get an idea on what they would like to do for their careers. There were activities from technology, to electrical, to hands-on activities. There were many more activities for the kids to indulge in, but my personal favorite thing that I did would be working with wood to make a duck house. I enjoyed this because it is something I like to do, and the guys working it were very nice and easy to talk to.
