Launch the media gallery 1 player23 year old Lindsey Maston finds herself at Belle Plaine High School as a first year teacher. She is starting her career here as a health and Jr. High science teacher. She does have the capability to also teach biology and chemistry. What brought her to Belle Plaine was that she taught here and liked it a lot.
She attended school at Solon High School and participated in volleyball and track and fields. She then attended the University of Iowa to study Pre Med. Later down the road she decided it was not the career for her and chose to become a teacher. She was inspired to teach by her love and passion for speaking and wanting to help kids in school.
Mrs. Maston is a married woman. Her husband's name is Patrick, and while teaching this year she is expecting a kid in December. She lives on the outskirts of Chelsea because of cheap housing and wanted a fixer upper. She enjoys watching the Cubs, cheering on the Hawkeyes, and watching wrestling. Some of her other hobbies include watching T.V and doing crafts.
Mrs. Maston’s goals for the year are to have every student pass her class, become a more confident teacher, and she is looking forward to all the exciting dress up days. If you see her in the halls please say hello and make her feel welcome and at home.
