International Literacy Day

September 8th was International Literacy Day. It was officially declared a national day by UNESCO on October 26 1966. International Literacy Day exists to raise awareness of literacy problems we have around the world. My favorite books are the I SURVIVED series of books. They give a story about natural disasters or major events. Some of the favorite books right now to read are: Billy Summers by Stephan King, The Madness of Crowds by Louise Penny, and The Last Things He Told Me by Laura Dave. Some of the more popular books among students are the After series and Stephen King books.
